Mrs. T. Fountaine is spending a few days at New Plymouth. Mrs. G. V. Riddle was hostess at bridge on Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Brindlecombe was hostess at tea on Thursday. Visitors to Eltham for the ladies' golf tournament include Mesdames Purser, Rutherford, Cotterill, Todd, Webster, Lightband and Sykes, New Plymouth, Mesdames Meuli. R. Lee. Misses J. Meuli, O'Sullivan, McCarthy, N. and G. Death, Knowles, Hawera, Misses J. Hale and H. Wilmshurst, Stratford. Mrs. J. Blakely is spending a holiday at Te Aroha as the guest of Mrs. Malcom Hall. Miss J. Downey, who has been the guest of Mr. P. J. Harrison, has returned to Napier. Mrs. J. Madden was hostess at afternoon tea on Wednesday. Mrs. T. A. Urwin is spending a holiday at Wanganui and Wellington. Mrs. P. Gilkison was hostess at bridge on Monday. Her guests were Mesdames H. V. Marshall, S. G. Coupe, T. A. Urwin, S. E. Carson, P. Syme, G. V. Riddle, R. Thrush, J. Hessell, J. Morton, Misses S. Carncross and P. Riddle.
