Mrs. Fallow has returned to Raetihi after visiting Mrs. W. T. Rudge. Mrs. J. Plimmer, who has been the guest of her sister, Mrs. H. H. Bramwell, has returned to Wellington. Mrs. H. E. Webster has returned from Auckland. Miss Peggy Jackson, Stratford, has been the guest of Miss Jocelyn Lennon. Miss Flavell has returned to Stratford after visiting Hawera friends. Mrs. Newton Burrell has returned from a visit to Stratford. Mrs. Gibson and Miss Kura Gibson have returned to Wellington. Young People Entertained. A mah jongg party was given by Miss Barbara Langdon for a group of her young friends at the home of her mother, Mrs. A. G. Langdon, Manawapou Road. The guests were Misses Jean Cameron, Moorie Pope, Helen Young, Verena Fairweather, Barbara Goodchap, Betty Nicholas, Oriole Laing, Miriam Fyson and Gwen Hardley. Prizes were won by Misses Fyson and Laing. Music Group Meets. An interesting programme of slumber and dance music was presented at the Women's Club, under the direction of : Mrs. R. A. Graham, for the monthly meeting of the music group. Piano solos were played by Mrs. Veale, Miss M. Crabbe and Miss W. Huggins, piano duets by Mesdames Graham and P. O. Veale and W. Huggins and J. Evans. 'Cello duets by Mrs. R. Colville and Mrs. A. J. Corrigan, accompanied by Mrs. A. K. Fyson, vocal solos by Mrs. H. E. Webster, Misses M. Crabbe, G. O'Brien, A. Shelton and S. Davy, violin solos by Mr. Colville and Miss T. Landers, and elocutionary items by Miss Sylvia Davy gave variety to a most entertaining programme.
