PATRIOTIC BOWLING
HELPING SPITFIRE FUND A good entry comprising 2G rinks from clubs all over Taranaki has been received for a bowling tournament in aid of the Spitfire fund to be conducfed by the West End club on the West End and Fitzroy greens to-morrow. Play will be held throughout the day, morning play comprising two games of 12 heads and afternoon play comprising three games of 10 heads. The draw for the first round at 9 a.m. is:— At West End: Kidd (Avon) v. Russell (N.P.), Petch (W.E.) v. Muir (Avon), Hill (W.E.) v. Gernhoefer (Vogeltown), Lippiatt (W.E.) v. Fulton (Waitara), Prowse (W.E.) v. Farmer (Fitzroy), Mrs. Julian (N.P.) v. Henderson (Okato), F. Spurdle (Inglewood) v. E. Jury (Paritutu), Mrs. Pavnter (N.P.) v. Peek (Lepperton). At Fitzroy; Knight (W.E.) v. W. Spurdle (Inglewood), Douglass (W.E.) v. Blundeil (N.P.), Wallis (P.) v. Mason (W.E.), Day (F.) v. Mrs. Lagore (N.P.), T. Ewens (Waitara) v. Andrews (Okato).
