Specinl to Daily News. | Taumarunui, Sept. 11. ' At the Taumarunui sale there was a ' large yarding of dairy cows, heifers antl pigs, and a large attendance of buyers from Waikato rnd Taranaki maintained the prevailing hi.gh prices for dairy cattle. Pigs also sold well, weaners making up to 32s. while stores sold up to £2 10s. I Tlie dairy cows and heifers were in 1 splendid corditicn. the maiority being well-bred. A herd of seven cows brought an average price of £12 8s 6d, the top price being £14 5s. Other good cows made from £9 to £12. Inferior sorts made £3 10s to £5 5s. Weaner pigs made from 16s to 30s. stores sold at from 30s lo £2 10s. sows made from 30s to £7. while boars realised from 5i to 6 guineas.
