PATEA SPRING SHOW
METHODIST SUCCESS A successful spring flower show was held by the Patea Methodist church in the Patea town hall supper room yesterday. Mesdames Anderson and Moore were in charge of a Patea stall, Mrs. Herbert the Kakaramea stall and- Mrs. Pankhurst and helpers arranged after-' noon tea. The Rev. Mr. Henderson presented the prizes and thanked exhibitors and visitors. Results were:— Class A (stewards. Mesdames Moore and Henderson; judge, Mrs. W. F. Sheild):— Three narcissi: Miss R. Knowles 1, Miss Gibson 2. Six narcissi: Mrs. Sutherland 1, Miss R. Knowles 2. Collection 12 narcissi: Miss R. Knowles 1, Mrs. Sutherland 2. Collection spring flowers (12 varieties, not bulbs): Mrs. J. Fairweather 1, Mrs. Hamilton 2. Collection polyanthus: Mrs. Hamilton 1, Mrs. McRae 2. Collection anerpones: Mrs. S. Gunn 1. Decorated bowl flowers (not bulbs): Mrs. McRae 1, Mrs. Gunn 2. Shoulder spray: Mrs. Moore 1, Mrs. Hunger 2. Tumbler flowers: Mrs. J. Fairbrother 1, Mrs. Meuli 2, Mrs. Weidenbohm 3. Piece handiwork (boys 14 and undey): G. Honeyfield 1. Class B (stewards, Miss Locker and Mrs. Weidenbohm; judge, Mrs. G. Dyer):— Prettiest cushion: I.Iiss Locker 1, Mrs. R- Fairweather 2.
