PACIFIC AGREEMENT
DEVELOPMENTS WATCHED Washington, Sept. 9. The chairman of the House of Representatives Foreign Relations Committee, Mr. Bloom, to-day endorsed the strengthening of Australian and American ties. At present there was no necessity for a defensive agreement similar to that between Canada and the United States, he said, but new developments might make it desirable in the future.
