BIG CITY BOMBED
—BUT WHICH IS IT? Rec. 12.30 a.m. London, Sept. 11. Italian planes raided Jaffa, the modern Arab port in Palestine, the Rome radio announced last night. In fact, the Italian bombed Tel-Aviv, equally modern Jewish city, for which Jaffa is the port. Highlight of the Italians' mistake was the dropping of leaflets in Arabic on Tel-Aviv, of which Jews form almost the en'.ire population. (Details of Raid: Page 8.)
