WEDDINGS
COOPER — WEINBERG At St. Michael's and All Angels Church, Matiere, on August 31 Evelyn Gladys, fourth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Weinberg, Nihoniho, was married to Frank, elder son of Mrs. Cooper and the late Mr. Cooper, New Plymouth. The Rev. W. Bird officiated, and Mrs. F. Pleasants was organist. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a gown of needle run lace over white satin, made in redingote style, with medici neckline. The sleeves were finished with points over the hands, and the skirt feil in soft folds to form a train. Her tulle veil was embroidered with horse shoes and shamrock, and was caught to the head with a coronet of orange blossom. She ca'rried a sheaf of arum lilies. The bridesmaids, Miss Val Cooper (chief), sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Sylvia Weinberg, sister of the bride, were frocked alike in nil green georgette made on slim-fitting lines with ruched boclices finished with silver bows and full puffed sleeves. Their head dress of green tulle was worn with small green flowers and silver ribbon. They carried georgette muffs to tone with their frocks and wore elbow-length lace mittens in nil green and silver shoes. A reception .was held at the Nihoniho hall. Mrs. Weinberg, assisted by Mrs. Cooper, received her guests wearing a navy costume with navy accessories and a shoulder spray of violets. Mrs. Cooper also wore a navy costume with a fur stole and a shoulder spray of spring flowers. For travelling the bride chose an air force blue suit with navy accessories. In the evening Mr. and Mrs. Weinberg entertained their guests at a dance.
