GOLF IN TARANAKI
STABLEFORD AT WESTOWN The second round of stableford play for the Vic. Barnes Cup was played at the Westown Golf Club's course yesterday. A strong southerly made conditions fairiy difficult and the scoring was not as good as usual. The best cards handed in for the cup were: W. Roebuck 27— 7—34 F. Sole 25—7—32. T. Lobb 20—12— i 32, R. Boulton 24-7-31. W. E. Alsop 20—11—31. H. Clifford Jones 21—9—30. Tlie winners of the senior and junioi trophics held in conjunction with the cup round were W. Roebuck (senior) and T. Lobb (junior).
