CROSS-CHANNEL FIRING GERMAN GUNS POUNDED

The German long-range battenes resumed their shelling of the Dover area early in the mormng, and British guns immediately retaliated, returning sa vo c q 1 YO At dusk the Royal Air Force hammered the German gan emplacements on the French coast. The concussion of bombs falling on gun positions shook the ground on the British side of the Channel. it was one of the most violent ra.ds against German-heid Channel ports.
