Auckland, Last Night. A statement that, because Matson vessels did not cat-ry general cargo from Auckland, New Zealand fish was bought at Sydney for conveyance by these ships to Fiji, is contained in a letter received by the Auckland Chamber of Commerce from the Fiji Chamber of Commerce. The Suva chamber explained that, while its members were anxious to support British shipping, the present inadequate facilities offering from Auckland simply meant that orders were being diverted to Sydney for carriage in Matson vessels from Australian ports, and trade was eonscquently lost to the Dominion.
