NEWS FROM PUKENGAHU
The home of Mr. and Mrs. A. K:rk was the scene of a party to celebrate their silver wedding. A replica of the bridal cake was made by Mrs. R. Austin, and Messrs. W. Sproull, T. Rowe and W. Boddie proposed toasts. Mr. and Mrs. Kirk were presented with a silver sandwich tray. Mrs. A. Kirk wore a frock of clover matalasse relieved with blue, and she was presented with a bouquet in cream and pink tonings. Mr. and Mrs. Kirk's family of six children, and two grandchildren were present. During the evening songs were sung by Mrs. Austin, Mi.ss Rne and H. W. Boddie. Miss L. Petch has returned to Wellington after visiting her sister, Mrs. T. Walsh. Mrs. A. Harper spent a few days as the guest of her brother at Inglewood recently. Miss Joyce Best is a visitor to Waverley. Miss J. Brown has returned to Wanganui after visiting her aunt, Mrs. T. Moore.
