NIEMOLLER'S SUCCESSOR London, Sept. 6. The German official news agency states that Hellmuth Gollwitzer, successor- to Dr. Niemoller in the pastorship of the Confessional Church in Dahlem, left Berlin for an unknown destination after the police h5d ordered him to leave within 24 hours. Dr. Niemoller, pastor of Dahlem (Berlin), was the leading personality in the Confessional (Opposition) movement in the German Evangelical Church, and was arrested on July 1, 1937, because of his criticisms of the Nazis and has been in custody ever since.
