Wellington, Last Night. The weather for the most part will be fair or mild. There will, however, be unsettled conditions in western and far southern districts of the South Island with intermittent rain and scattered faljs exending later to western portions of Wellington and Taranaki . Winds in the Auckland province Will be light or moderate and variable. In other districts moderate or fresh northerly to westerly winds will prevail. An anti-cyclone is located near the Chatham Islands while a weak trough of low pressure which was advancing across the Tasman has reached southern New Zealand. Seas will be rather rough south of Cape Egmont and about Cook and Foveaux Straits, elsewhere slight or moderate.
