AWATUNA PERSONALS
Miss C. Grant, Hawera, has been the guest of Miss M. Walker. Mrs. W. Brandt, who is in a Kaponga private hospital, is progressing favour'ably. Mr. and Mrs. G. Frost have returned from Wellington. Miss E. Lind, who has been visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. Lind, leaves on Tuesday for Christchurch. Miss I. Richards has commenced her duties as infant teacher at the Awatuna school. Mrs. J. J. King and Miss L. King have been spending a holiday at Wanganui. Mrs. M. Bourke, who injured her hand, is progressing slowly. Misses N. and'P. King^ have returned from a visit to Wanganui. Mr. and Mrs. S. Farquhar have returned from Wellington. Miss A. McElroy has been visiting Wellington and will return home this week. Miss P. Morrison, who has been the guest of Mr. and Mrs. W. Lind, returns 1 to Christchurch next week, Messrs. J. Smith and C. Walsh, Auckland, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Niccolls recently. Mr. and Mrs. D. Scott, Wellington, are now living at Awatuna. Mr. J. Clark has returned home from the Hawera hospital.
