LEAGUE OF NATIONS’ RIVAL
MINISTERS CONFER AT ROME MUSSOLINI S NEW ENTENTE RESULT OF HIS INTERVIEWS By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copsrlglrt. Received April 12, 8.30 p.m. A. and .Z. Rome, April 11. A communique just issued announces the results of Signor Mussolini’s remarkable series of Eastertide interviews with foreign ministers. It declares that amicable arrangements were reached with Czecho-Slovakia and the Little Entente, while the relations with Germany are excellent. Most elaborate police arrangements were made at Milan to keep secret Signor Mussolini’s conference with Count Bethlen (Hungary), when discussing a plan for a new Oriental entente embracing Italy, Hungary, Turkey, Greece, Albania, Bulgaria and Poland. A message from Geneva states that League of Nations’ circles are speculating as to whether Signor Mussolini, who is the only foreign minister in Europe who has never attended the League, is trying to create a political centre at Rome to rival Geneva, where opportunities for meetings between foreign ministers are admittedly one of the most valuable aspects of the League’s work.
