FIXTURES FOR FIRST ROUND. The following draw has been made by the Taranaki Basketbail Association for the first round of matches. It will be noted that games will be played on different days of the week, according to convenience:— Week ending April 21.—Norfolk v. Ladies’ Life-Saving, at Norfolk, Tariki v. Girl Citizens, at Tariki (Saturday, April 28); Inglewood A. v. Hawera, at Hawera (Wednesday); Inglewood B, a bye. Week ending May s.—Norfolk v. Hawera, at Hawera (Wednesday); Inglewood A v. Ladies’ Life-Saving, at New Plymouth (Saturday); Inglewood B v. Girl Citizens, at New Plymouth (Thursday) ; Tariki, a bye. Week ending May 19.—Norfolk v. Girl Citizens, at New Plymouth (Saturday); Tariki v. Ijadies’ Life-Saving, at New Plymouth (Saturday); Inglewood B v. Hawera, at Inglewood (Wednesday); Inglewood A, a bye. Week ending June 2.—Norfolk v. Tariki, at Norfolk (Thursday); Girl Citizens v. Ladies’ Life-Saving, at New Plymouth (Saturday); Inglewood A v. Inglewood B, at Inglewood (Thursday); Hawera, a bye. Week ending June 16. —Inglewood A v. Tariki, at Inglewood (Saturday); Inglewood B v. Norfolk, at Inglewood (Thursday); Ladies’ Life-Savuig v. As the New Plymouth Girl Citizens have selected basketball as their winter sport, they are endeavouring to form another team to enter for the competition. A meeting will be held at the Tukapa ground to-morrow afternoon when arrangements will be made.
