The official evening weather forecast is: Winds moderate and variable with easterlies to northerlies prevailing and freshening south of Cape Egmont and Castlepoint. Seas generally moderate in New Zealand waters with moderate to fresh northerly winds aiTd moderate seas in the Tasman Sea. Weather generally dull and misty with further rain in many parts, but a temporary improvement probable soon in the East Coast districts.
