BABY MAORI BOY DROWNED

The Maori method of resuscitation by smoking was used without avail yesterday when a baby boy was dtowned in shallow water in the Wickitoria Creek. Terei, the 22-month-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Bailey, residing at Putiki, wandered from home into the creek and was apparently dead when found. Medical aid and the Natives* attempts to revive him were alike unsuccessful. An inquest will be held.
