Captain Herbert Wellington Upjohn, described as a New Zealand journalist, who gained first-class privileges on the Aorangi on a third-class ticket, allegedly posing as Stephen McKenna, the British novelist, is being held at the Los Angeles gaol. Rumoure of his deportation by the Niagara are unfounded, but his deportation is being considered at Washington. Hectic reports of his adventures have reached Vancouver.
