PROPERTIES DEPRECIATED
ODOURS FROM SEPTIC TANKS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Dec. 3. The Compensation Court awarded £2205 to swen claimants against the Northcote Borough Council lor depreciation of their properties caused by odour- from septic tanks. Mr. Justice Ostler said the substantial benefit derived from the discontinuance of the drainage into the sand on the beach was not great enough to balance the depreciation of surrounding properties caused by the cs.ape of smells from the tank.
