TUT’S WIDOW

WANTED TO RE-MARRY. “HAVE YOU A PRINCE?” Chicago, Nov. 11. The widow of Tut-ankh-amen proposed marriage to another young prince, according to documents studied by Professor Von Der Osten, of the University of Chicago, who has returned after spending a year excavating the Hittite cities. The Egyptian queen offered herself in a letter to the Hittite king, asking if he had a son eligible to marry her, but what reply was received is unknown. The reply may yet be disclosed in manuscripts which have just arrived here, but which are still not translated.
