WHEN TINKERBELL GOES SHOPPING
When Tinkerbell goes shopping, Poll Parrot cocks his eye, And screeches in his funniest voice, “Good-bye, my dear, goodrbyle-ee. And all the time she’s absent, Ha talks below his breath; The way that parrot carries on Just tickles us to death! You see, we’ve got to know him! And though he whispers low. We understand each word he says, As he swings to and fro. Now Polly’s one besetting sin, ’Tis sad to tell, is greed! And there he mutters on his perch, "Don’t dare forget my seed!” When Tinkerbell goes shopping, It's always just the same; But though by now we’re getting used To Polly’s little game— Each time that Tink brings back the seed, We watch to see the fun, And hear old Polly’s screech of joy, “Well done, mv dear, well donet” —Daffy Dill.
