GIPSY SMITH MISSION
Jr’ DUNEDIN SESSION. FINANCIAL STATEMENT. By Telegraph.—Pre: j Association. Dunedin, Last Night. The financial results of the Gipsy Smith Mission in Dunedin were reported by the treasurer (Mr. E. A. Rosevear) at tho Council of Christian Congregations to-night. The amount received at the midday and evening meetings (exclusive of times collections at the services which were for the benefit of the missiqners) •was £448. 12s Bd. Of this 62 per eent. was made up of sixpences and shillings. In addition there were donations and other receipts to the amount of £l4 12a Cd,, bringing the total to £463 Cs 2d. The total expenses came to £457 2s 3d. Thanksgiving offerings amounted to £95 4s Id, which went to Gipsy Smith and his party, while the proceeds of his lecture, which was independent of the mission, was £136 16s lid. It was reported also that the proceeds of the sale of hymnbooks used at the mission were remitted to the publishers in London. They amounted to £lB6 6s, one-third of which represented the proceeds of the sale of books at an absolute loss.
