PROGRESS OF FOXTON

NEW TOWN HALL OPENED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Foxton, Last Night. The new Town Hall was officially* opened this afternoon by Mr. J. Linklater, M.P., when the hall was filled to its capacity. The Mayor, Mr. Perreau, presided, and complimentary speeches were also made by representatives of the adjoining boroughs and local bodies. The hall cost £BOOO to erect and has seating accommodation for 1000. The opening ceremony was followed by a picture entertainment and citizens’ ball.
