At the annual conference of the Nationalist Party Mr. Bavin informed the delegates that he had been in negotiation with the leader of the Country Party and was confident that a completely satisfactory agreement for mutual co-operation and the elimination of duplication and dis-unity in selecting candidates for particular seats would .be arrived at, thus presenting a united front to the Labour Party at the elections.
