CANTERBURY WHEAT
GROWERS SEEK PROTECTION. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Ashburton, Nov. 29. A deputation from the mid-Canter* bury executive of the Farmers’ Union waited on the Hon. Downic Stewart, when the latter was on his way to Wellington, urging the imposition of a further embargo on the importation of wheat and flour. The Minister promised to consult Cabinet.
