GENERAL. Messrs Bowen and Wilson, the wellknown pig breeders of Hastings, who met with such phenomenal success at the first Royal Show of New Zealand, again took a very prominent part in the Royal Show held at Auckland last week. In the Berkshire and Tamworth classes they won most points, whilst in the class for large whites, the breed that the New Zealand Meal Producers’ Board are advocating. and who gave prise-money to the value of £3O for first and £l5 fol second, Bowen and Wilson were first and second with two young sows imported (fom Australia and which were only ie-Icns-.<l from quarantine the night before t>e judging. The winning sow was also Kovul el«l m pion.*
