AN OLD MAN’S HOARD

LARGE SUMS FOUND IN SHED. By Telegraph.— I’rciJ Association. Christchurch, Last Night. Recently the sum of £1470 was found in an old shed and in a hut on the property of Steven Fenwick, an old man and a. bachelor of Prebbletqn. The discovery was made by a young man named Middl-ton, who lives nearby. While -he was dismantling an old shed on Mr. Fenwick's property, Midleton came on a drain pipe. He gave it a tap and some silver began to trickle out. There were also many banknote' in the pipe, and when the h rd was counted it amounted to £l4of. Later a search was made (n a but on ' Fenwick’s property, and a further £7O was found hidden, in tins. The owner had forgotten about the money.
