WEDDING
O’MEAGHER—ALLEN. A pretty wedding, followed by Ntfptial Mass, was solemnised at St. Joseph’s Church, New Plymouth, on October 2S, by the Rev. Father Minogue, when Barbara, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Allen, was married to Mr. William Patrick O’Meagher, son of Mis. J. O’Meagher, of Blenheim. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked very sweet in a frock of ivory georgette, the full skirt having a deep flouncing of rich guipure lace. She also wore a beautifully embroidered tulle veil with circlet of orange blossoms, and carried a bouquet of Lilies of the Valley. Miss Betty Allen, sister of the bride, attended as chief bridesmaid, and wore a lovely French model frock of georgette, shading from the palest of pink to a deep'rose, and Relieved with cream lace aqd gold embroidery, champagne crinoline hat, and she carried a bouquet of lavender Howel’s. Two little flower girls, Tui Allen and June Matthews, were dressed alike in frocks of lavender taffeta with quaint tight bpdices and very full scalloped skirts, with silver tissue bands on their hair, and- each carried a tiny posy of pink rosebuds. Mr. Leo Alleji carried out the duties of. best man? ' After the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Allen entertained a large number of .relatives and friends at the Kawaroa Bungalow, where the usual toasts were honoured. Later the bride and bridegroom left by car on the honeymoon, the bride travelling, in a pretty frock of floral georgette", with a smart coat of champagne corded silk, a small hat of rose crinoline and satin shoes to tone.
