Farmers are now feeling, or beginning to feel, the effects of control. They should not growl and stand aside, however, but attend a meeting called by the Free Marketing League at New Plymouth on Friday in numbers and make their wills and protests heard, and support those who have consistently opposed compulsory control from the start, and whose predictions arc being fulfilled. The Melbourne, Ltd. invite ladies to inspect an attractive display in the showroom of new frocks purchased in London and Paris by Mrs. Scanlan. To mention only a few of the many: Hand embroidered new Frisea cloth, floral ninons, French crepe de chine, lace and georgette, in all the newest shades. Prices are exceedingly moderate.
