The suggestion that the Rev. ’E, O. Blamiies should bo appointed manager of the New Zealand cricket team to tour England has been favourably received throughout the Dominion, but the question of who should fill the position has not yet been discussed by the New Zealand Council. There is no doubt that M. Blamires would make an excellent manager, both on account of his popularity and his ability as a player (says the Otago Daily Times). As the team will include only fourteen players, difficulty may be found at times in resting some of the men. and in filling vacancies which may arise Mr. Blamires would be more than handy.
