IRISH REPUBLICANS
SECRET ARMY DISCLOSURES. MANY' ARRESTS AFFECTED. Bs' Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Nov. 23, 7.40 q>.m. London, Nov. 23. The Daily News’ Dublin correspondent says that the investigations in connection with the armed raids have revealed the underground existence of a most highly organised, self-governing Republican army, not owing allegiance to any party, and with the most extensive ramifications. The average citizen does not know whether his neighbour is a member of this organisation. Recently a well-dressed Dublin girl was convicted of conspiring to maintain this army, and the same day two men and a daughter of Count Plunkett were convicted of conspiring to attack money-lenders under this army’s orders. Those arrested include tire chairman of the Cork County branch of the Gaelic Athletic Association; also a champion hurdler.
