CANADIAN TEAM’S VISIT. B; Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The special meeting of the New Zealand Football Association which has just concluded, was called for the purpose cf discussing and finalising the details of the proposed tour of a Canadian Soccer team in 1027. Representatives from practically the whole of the associations affiliated with the council expressed themselves unanimously in favour of the tour taking place. The council placed before the meeting all the information relative to the estimated costs and receipts of the tour. The cost is estimated at between £7OOO and £BOOO. The team will leave Vancouver by the e.s. Niagara on May 4. arriving in Auckland on May 23, and will leave Auckland by the Niagara for home on August 2. The team will -be in New Zealand for ten weeks. Australia does not take part in the itinerary, which is as follows: —May 23, 10271 arrive Auckland; May 25, Wanganui; May 28, Manawatu; June 1, Taranaki; June 3, Wellington; June 4, Wellington ; June 8, Nelson;- June 11, Buller; June 15, Westland; June IS, Otago; June 22, Southland; June 25, first test natch, at Dunedin; June 20, Canterbury; July 2, second test match, at Christchurch; July 6, Masterton; July 9, third test match, at Wellington; July 13, Napier; July 16, Poverty Bay; July 20, •South Auckland; July 23,“ Auckland; July 27, North Auckland; July 30, fourth test m-r-n at Auckland; August 2, leave Auckland. Tile council has asked the Canadian Association to agree to play a match against Marlborough on June 7, in which ease the match set down for June 8, against Nelson, will be played on Thursday, June 9. Advices received from Canada state that the strongest team which has ever represented Canada will be sent to tour New Zealand. The team will consist of 18 players and a manager. An advance agent will also be appointed. The Government Tourist Department has undertaken to make the travelling arrangements for the team right through New Zealand.
