The following Government weather forecast was issued at 4 p.m.’ to-day!—"Present indications are for variable winds, but westerlies prevailing, and freshening especially in and southwards of Cook Strait. The weMher is likely to be fair generally, but with haze and cloudiness increasing soon in the western and southern districts. The barometer has a falling tendency in the south.”
