TARANAKI COMPETITIONS CENTRE SHIELD MATCHES. RESULTS OF SATURDAY’S PLAY. The Taranaki Bowling Centre shield matches were continued on Saturday in good weather. Fitzroy (141) defeated Vogeltown (115), West End (186) defeated Waitara (151), and New Plymouth (191) defeated Paritutu (121). WEST END v. WAITARA. The match between Waitara and West End was decided on the West End green under favourable conditions. Most of the games were closely contested, each side winning three and one being drawn.
