BREACH OF PROMISE
NURSE RECOVERS DAMAGES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wanganui, Nov, 19. Tn a claim for £2OO damages for breach of promise of marriage, Kathleen Scanlon, nurse, obtained damages of £2OO from Alexander Hannay, of Pal. merston North, formerly managing director of Manson and Barr, and also a shareholder in the firm. The parties met last December. The- engagement was a short one, starting in February and only lasting a' few months.
