WEDDINGS.
PROSSER—RICHARDS. A wedding of a quiet but very pretty nature took place in the Waitara Methodist Church on October 21, when Miss Louisa Richards, fourth daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Richards, of Tikorangi, was united in matrimony to Mr. Herbert Prosser,. son of the late Mr. T. W. Prosser, for many years a resident of Waitara. The bride, who was attired in a handsome dress of fawn silk marocain with hat to match; entered the church on the arm of her brother. Mr. W. F. Richards, and was attended by Miss Edna Smith as bridesmaid, attired in orange marocain, with black picture hat. The best man was Mr. Douglas Richards, a nephew of the bride. The service was fully choral, Mrs. R. B. Gosnell presiding at the organ, whilst the Rev. R. B. Gosnell performed the ceremony. The bouquets were made by Mrs. A.’S. Hicks, of Tikorangi. The guests, over 40 in number, sat down to a breakfast at the residence of 'Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Richards, after which the toasts were drunk with musical honours. The wedding presents were numerous and costly.
, BROPHY—MURRAY. :At St. Joseph’s Church, New Plymouth, on Wednesday, October 27, the marriage was solemnised of Erina, youngest daughter of Mr. P. Murray, of New Plymouth, late of Christchurch, to Francis, youngest eon of Mrs. Brophy, of Ashburton. Rev. Father Moran officiated and celebrated Nuptial Mass. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a becoming frock of beige georgette designed with a full skirt with deep hem of Paris lace. Attached to the shoulders was a georgette cape banded with lace. She also wore a hat to match and carried a sheaf of roses and lily of the valley. The bride was attended by her neice, Miss Molly Brien, who wore a dainty frock of copper chestnut lace over ■'georgette of the same shade, and crinolin 'straw hat trimmed with powder blue flowers, and carried a sheaf of African daisies. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr. T. Brophy, of Invercargill. 'After the ceremony a reception was held at 'the bungalow, Kawaroa Park, and a large number of friends were present. Later Mr. and Mrs. Brophy left by motor car en route to their future home.
