Au Auckland message reports the death of Canon John Charles Eccles, aged 86 years, who was formcly Canon of Woodville, Hawke's Bay.
Mr. and Mrs. R. Pepperell returned to New Plymouth by the nmil train last night after three weeks spent in Rotorua and Auckland.
Mr. E. AfePhillips, of Hawera, returned yesterday from an extended tour abroad. Mr. McPliiilips spent some months in England, and also visited the United States and Canada.
Air. narold Morey, of the firm of Morey’s Ltd., who has been on a business visit to England, is returning home. He is travelling by the Port Melbourne which is due in Wellington on December 7.
A Wellington Press message states that :|t a meeting of St. John's Presbyterian Cliureli congregation on Thursday night it was decided to send a call in connect inn with the vacant pastorate, caused by tile resignation of tho Rev. Dr. Gibb, to the Rev. J. R. Blanchard, 8.A., of Perth, Westralia. Mr. Keith Lewis Moss, died in the New Plymouth hospital yesterday after an illness extending over a year. He was the youngest son of Mr. H. D. Moss, postmaster at Wares, and Mrs. Moss. The family lived formerly at Taturaimaka, and is well-known in tlte coastal district
