LAWN TENNIS.

WELLINGTON TEAMS ON TOUR. MAY VISIT NEW PLYMOUTH. (By Wire —Special to News.) Wellington, Last Night. To-night the Wellington Lawn -Tennis Association decided to appoint a subcommittee to discover what players can make a trip north on November 30 for the purpose of playing Hawke’s Bay, Wanganui and Taranaki. The A team will visit Wanganui, and though it is Taranaki’s turn to come to Wellington this year, the southern side will probably go on to New Plymouth. If it is of any strength, the B teajci will journey to Napier and there meet Hawke’s Bay's best players, the trip extending over three days. It is hoped to get away sides of a very high order, including five New Zealand representatives. Among the men, J. C. Peacock and Noel Wilson, the New Zealand doubles champions, Len and Don France, and Edward Smyth are all expected to leave with the A team, but it is doubtful whether any ladies wilj be sent since their play is of a low standard and it is difficult to collect a side of any calibre. The B team will also include some first-dare material, notably Camille, Malfroy, Roy Donovan) and R. Ferkins, three boys still in their teens, who gained victories over Wilson, the two Frances, and S. Powdrell in championship play last season, while Malfroy also pushed Smyth to five sets.
