Miss Mercia pleased in a three furlong flutter with Melissa in 38 2-ssec. Merry Jest took 38 4-asce from a standing start for the same distance. Te Monanui did two rounds of steady work. The brown horse looks well. Hipo, assisted by Oration over the last four, ran seven furlongs in Imin 32sec. He will contest the principal race in Levin to-morrow. Breezy took Imin 6sec for five furlongs. Jazz Baby and Willow Wai were sent half a mile. E. George leaves for Levin with Hipo and Jazz Baby this morning. THE LEVIN MEETING. R, Johnson left New Plymouth by the mail train yesterday morning with Bay Dighton and Vivo to fulfil their engagements at the Levin meeting on Saturday.
