TARANAKI SESSIONS THE CALENDAR OF CASES. HEAVY CRIMINAL LIST. The criminal eases to come up for trial at the quarterly session of the Supreme Court for the judicial district of Taranaki are more numerous than has been the case for some time past. The session, presided over by the Chief Justice (Hon. C. P. Skerrett), commences on Tuesday next at 10.30 a.m. The criminal list includes 11 cases for trial and the length of time that this portion of the business will take depends largely upon the pleas entered. Lyons, farmer, of Hunterville. to five years’ hard labour for incest. SENTENCE FOR THEFT. Christchurch, Nov. 17. In the Supreme Court Joseph Andrew Barron admitted having obtained credit by fraud. He was sentenced to a year in gaol.
