CONTROL OF BUTTER

It is understood that as a result of Mr. Coates’ many interviews with the London representatives of the Dairy Control Board and the butter traders comb-tied, he has cabled that after negotia i s the parties readied a mutually acivp.able policy for marketing the new season's butter. The Dairy Board has not agreed to forego altogether the policy of pricefixing, but has undertaken that thia shall be done jointly by the board and the trade, though in the event of a disagreement the board retains the last word. The board has given the trade a satisfactory assurance that it does not desire to hold up supplies, blit to allow the new butter to go steadily on the market as it arrives.
