DIVERSION CUT COMPLETED. By Telegraph —Press Association. Gisborne. Nov. 13. To-day marked an important stage in harbour operations. The dredging of the diversion cut having reached high water mark on the Waikanae beach it is expected that, in a few mouth's, the river will be diverted and work started on the development of the new inner harbour. The hulk Monowai is expected to leave Port Chalmers next week in order to be used as a breakwater at Wliareongaonga, wher« the board is obtaining stone supplies.
