ACCIDENTS AT WHANGAREI,

Whangarei, Nov. 15. David Gardiner, aged five, fell from a delivery van on Saturday and fractured (the base of his skull. He is progressing favourably.

Miriam Sword fell from a motor-cycle when pillion riding on Sunday. Her skirt caught in the spokes and she was whirled round several times. She was taken to hospital with a fracture of the base of the skull, and is progressing favourably. William Regan, a motor-cyclist, swerved to avoid a motor-car near Waiotira, and fell and broke his leg. He lay on the side of the road for two hours till picked up and taken to hospital. The occupants of the car were unaware of the cyclist’s fall.
