THE BAUME CHARGES
MR. ELLIOTT WILL NOT GIVE EVIDENCE. By Telegraph.— Press Association. Wellington, Nov. 14. The Rev. Howard Elliott states, in reply io the Minister, that he will not attend to give evidence before Mr. Riddell. He stipulates for a Royal Commission of independent persons. Mr. Elliott says if Baume’s conduct was so good in prison why was he made to leave the country as a condition of release?
