Tlie intercolonial steamer Kaitangata reached New Plymouth from Wanganui about 4 pm. yesterday and was berthed on the eastern side of the Newton King wharf. She has 300 tons of Australian cargo for discharge here and is expected to leave for Greymouth to-day. Captain Fisk is in command. PROGRESS FROM SOUTH. The Progress arrived from Picton early yesterday morning and anchored in the stream until the Kaitangata had been berthed. Then she was brought In at the rear of that vessel. The Progress has southern cargo to unload here and it is expected she will sail this evening for Port Waikato. DAIRY PRODUCE AND PORK. The Port Hobart arrived from Gisborne early on Saturday morning and was berthed at the Moturoa wharf at 5.30 a.m. She is to take in 12,000 erates of cheese, 8000 boxes of butter and 300 carcases of pork, and should sail for Wellington on Tuesday nighit or Wednesday morning. She is scheduled to sail from Napier for London, via Panama, on November 28. Captain R. Craven is in command and he has with him the following officers: Chief, Mr. C. Hersce; second, Mr. L. Copeland; third, Mr. G. G. Langford; fourth, Mr. G. J. Webb; wireless operators, Messrs L. J. Sadler and J. L. M. Daveys; chief engineer, Mr. J. P. CamplbeTl; senior second, Mr. R. V. AMERICAN CARGO FOR DISCHARGE; The West Nivaria was brought in to the west side of the Moturoa wharf after her arrival from Lyttelton on Saturday morning. She has 700 tons of general cargo, 9000 cases of oil and some lumber to discharge here and will probably sail on Wednesday ox Thursday to return to the Pacific Coast of America. There she will again load for New Zealand. Officers of the vessel are: Captain H. Krog; chief officer, Mr. H. Olsen; second, Mr. H. E. Jaquith; third, Mr. S. Thomson; chief engineer, Mr. R. E. George; first assistant, Mr. M. Constantinoff; second, Mr. E. Heckl; third, Mr. V. D. Paslo; wireless operator, Mr. O. L. Outrim; chief steward, Mr. A. B. Johnson. The chief officer (Mr. H. Olsen) was in New Zealand four years ago as the master of the steamer Vinita. POOLTA FROM PORTLAND. The Poolta is expected to sail from Portland to-night and should reach New Plymouth on Thursday morning. x THE TOTARA NEXT WEEK.

The Totara will be delayed at Timaru until Thursday, the Union Company has been advised. She will call at the usual southern way ports and will not arrive at New Plymouth until some time next week. ONEHUNGA SERVICE. With passengers and general cargo, ths Rarawa is scheduled to leave Onehunga this afternoon and should arrive here early to-mor-row morning. OVERSEAS MOVEMENTS.
