SYDNEY’S WELCOME. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.-—Copyright. Sydney. Dee. 29. The French squadron was officially entertained at luncheon by the Federal Parliament. Mr. Hughes was presented with a palm (a French decoration) by Admiral Gilly, as a token of France’s appreciation of Australia’s assistance in the war.
