TROOPS PATROL STREETS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Dec. 29, 8.45 p.m. Cairo, Dec. 29. Owing to the assassination of Professor Robson, Lord Allenby has informed the Egyptian Government that there can bp no abolition of martial law while such outrages continue. British cavalry is again patrolling the streets. The Government has promised generous compensation to Professor Robson’s widow. The amount will bo fixed by Lord Allenby himself.—Aus.-N.Z.
