BUSINESS FOR EMPLOYEES.

GIFT OF AMERICAN OWNER. COMPLETE CONTRL BY WORKERS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Dec. 28, 7.25 p.m. New York, Dec. 28. Mr. Henry Dix, owner of a dress and uniform manufactory, which is valued at a million dollars, to-day “deeded” the entire business to his 400 employees. He will continue to act in an advisory capacity, but the ownership and complete management will be vested in the workers. Mr. Dix explained that he has long been troubled over the fact that mere wages are an insufficient return to faithful employees, and after 27 years’ proprietorship in this business, in which he has never had a single labor trouble, he has sufficient income for his life.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
